John L. Munévar is the founder of P&M~Productions and Media, Inc.®, an American organization established in December of 2002 to satisfy the need for global media and communications in the Angle and Hispanic communities in the United States and the rest of the Americas.


Education

Munévar earned his Bachelor’s degree in Journalism from Jorge Tadeo Lozano University and continued his studies at the College of Political Science and International Relations at the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana where he was awarded the degree of Specialist in Conflict Resolution. Following his passion for the written language, Munévar then went to the University of Salamanca where he earned his Master’s degree in Literature, Culture, and Spanish Language. Currently, Munévar is working on his Doctorate’s in Spanish Language, Culture, and Linguistics.

 

John L. Munévar is a born producer and researcher. He is well recognized for his abilities in serious and thorough analysis, conflict resolution, mediation and Latin-American politics. As a bilingual Colombian writer and journalist, Munévar has published news articles, reported and produced programs and stories for the press, radio and television from the most distant places on the American continent. He will publish his first novel in Argentina and Spain during the summer of 2011.


Career in Education
John L. Munévar has a long career in education teaching at various schools across the states of Florida and Georgia. He has experience working in Atlanta Public Schools with the virtual education system “Lap Top Program” and “No Child Left Behind” as well as private schools including Mount Vernon Presbyterian School. Munévar also has experience at the college level working at institutions such as Clayton College & State University and the University of West Georgia. Currently, Munévar is a journalism and Spanish professor at Life University and the Art Institute of Atlanta and an instructor of advanced Spanish courses at Riverside Military Academy.

John L. Munévar’s professional experience as a journalist & writer includes prominent positions such as CEO of P&M ~ Productions and Media, Inc. ® in Atlanta, Georgia, United States of America. Also, as a press advisor for well recognized multinational organizations and Latin-American politicians, founder and president of Servicios Integrados en Comunicaciones Ltda., founder and director of the newspaper La Crónica de Cundinamarca and and news director of HJTW RCN Sumapaz Radio in Colombia.


In the United States of America
John L. Munévar has a great amount of experience in working in media. He is an anchorman with CRT-USA Tricolor Radio Network, founder and director of World Radio.me, founder and sub-director of Atlanta Stereo FM. Previously, Munévar worked as an assignment desk journalist with CNN TV in Spanish and as a news director, producer and anchorman of WPSP -11Q- Spanish Radio Station. He has been an international correspondent for Semana magazine in Colombia and for Visión Latina magazine in Miami, Florida.

 

Munévar has also been an editor for the newspaper Siglo Católico in Atlanta and a Spanish voice talent for Armando Plata Productions, Inc. and White Dog Studio in Atlanta, Georgia. Munévar is a member of The Georgia Association of Latin American Journalists, GALAJ, and Atlanta Federation of Teachers AFT in the United States and The Colombian Association of Anchormen, ACL., in Colombia.

In Colombia
John L. Munévar is an analyst, mediator and full time military correspondent for the Colombian Army. Previously, he was a reporter with RCN Radio Cadena Nacional, a national coordinator and on-air personality with Cadena Melodía de Colombia and the News Director and manager with HJTW RCN Radio Sumapaz.


He has also been a good influence to many aspiring journalists as an instructor of journalism and communications techniques at Inpahu University in Bogotá Colombia, where he taught for several years.


John Munévar is recognized by his students as a professor of great caliber. His teaching philosophies often reflect his wide range of professional experiences giving his lectures a unique perspective on all topics. His classes have commonly been described as “intense”, “animated”, and “demanding”. Former students have often praised his diligence and attributed their success in Spanish to Professor Munévar.
